    In the central part, a bear is depicted facing left, wearing a hat pulled down over its eyes and a coat. In front of it stands a suitcase with a sticker reading 'WANTED ON VOYAGE', and around its neck is a tag with the inscription 'Please look after this bear, thank you'. Below the suitcase are the Latin letters 'PM'. Around the circumference along the rim, left and right, is the inscription split into two parts – 'Paddington Bear'. To the right of the image is the horizontal inscription '1 CROWN'. All inscriptions are in English.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley – 'IRB'. Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of issue '2008'. At the beginning of each inscription is the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man – a triskelion. Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
