The central part features three sweet potato tubers. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in Tongan: at the top, "FAKALAHI ME'AKAI" meaning "PRODUCE MORE FOOD"; at the bottom, "20 SENITI" meaning "20 SENITI".
Obverse
The central part features a frontal portrait of King of Tonga Taufa'ahau Tupou IV in military uniform. Along the rim are inscriptions in English: at the top, "F.A.O."; at the bottom, "TONGA 2002".
