    Along the lower edge arc is the inscription "IPELEGENG" — the town of Ipelegeng. In the central part is an image of a bull. Above it, in two lines, is the inscription "25 THEBE", meaning "twenty-five thebe".

    Along the upper edge arc of the coin is the country name Botswana in English – "BOTSWANA". Below is the inscription "IPELEGENG", meaning "Ipelegeng", a town in Botswana. In the central part is the national coat of arms: an oval shield supported by two zebras, the left one holding an elephant tusk, the right one a stalk of sorghum. On the shield, the upper part depicts three interlocking gears, below them waves, and beneath that the head of a domestic bull. On the motto ribbon below the shield is the inscription "PULA", meaning "rain". Below the coat of arms is the year of minting "2013".
