The central part of the coin features a double-headed eagle, the coat of arms of the Russian Empire. Both heads bear crowns, with a larger third crown between them. The eagle's wings are raised and its feathers are spread. From its neck hangs the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious slaying a serpent with a long spear. Around the edge of the coin, its denomination "MONETA• RUBL'•" and the year "1734" are struck.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by a right-facing profile portrait of Empress Anna Ioannovna. Surrounding the portrait, divided by a crown, is the text: B M ANNA IMPERATRITSA I SAMODERZH• VSEROSISKAYA
