In the central part, the number 50. Above and below it, the name of the currency unit 'Para' is written horizontally in two languages: Serbian 'ПАРА' and Slovenian 'PARA'. Below is the year of minting '1998'. Along the edge of the coin are decorative raised dots.
Obverse
In the center is the coat of arms of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It features a heraldic shield with a double-headed eagle, on whose chest is a quartered shield. On either side of the emblem, the country name 'Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia' is inscribed in a semicircle: above in Slovenian 'SR JUGOSLAVIJA', below in Serbian 'СР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА'. The edge of the coin features decorative dot elements.
