Around the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the bottom 'TWO POUNDS'; to the left and right the years 1514-2014; at the top: 'TRINITY HOUSE' - the full name of the Corporation of Trinity House of Deptford Strond, the official organization responsible for navigation in England, Wales, and other British territorial waters.
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of silver-colored metal, the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II. Below the shoulder truncation is the monogram 'IRB' - the engraver's mark of Ian Rank-Broadley. Around the edge of the coin, separated by dots, is the text in English: 'ELIZABETH II. DEI. GRA. REG. FID. DEF.', which translates as 'Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God Queen, Defender of the Faith'.
