Below is the inscription '50 NGWEE' – 'fifty ngwee', flanked on both sides by rosettes in the form of dots. The central part features the national coat of arms of Zambia. The shield has 6 wavy vertical bars; above the shield are crossed a pickaxe and a hoe; above that, an eagle with spread wings looking back.
