    In the central part, a Triskelion – the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man, depicting three legs to the right, bent at the knee, emerging from a single center, equidistant from each other. The symbol divides the field into three segments: in the upper ones, the Latin letter initials of the 10th Earl of Derby in Latin 'I D' (Iacobus Darbiensis – James Derby), in the lower one – the number 1. Along the arc of the coin's edge, the national motto in Latin 'QUOCUNQUE IECERIS STABIT' (Whichever way you throw it, it will stand). Dots between the words. Raised denticles along the coin's edge.
  • Obverse
    In the center, a fragment of the family coat of arms of the Earls of Derby – the crest. It consists of an ermine cap, above which an eagle to the left with spread wings, hunting an infant swaddled in cloth. Along the denticulated rim, inscriptions at the top in French 'SANS CHANGER' (Without change), at the bottom the minting year '1733'.
