In the central part, a color image of a great bustard. Along the upper edge arc its name in Ukrainian: «ДРОХВА», and on the left in Latin: «OTIS TARDA», which translates as: "Great Bustard".
Obverse
In the central part, an inscription in Ukrainian: «НАЦIОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ», which translates to: "National Bank of Ukraine". Above it is the coat of arms of Ukraine. Below it, a three-line semicircular inscription: «2 ГРИВНI» - 2 (two) hryvnias and the year of mintage 2013. In the lower part, along the edge arc, is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint. The coin's edge features a decorative wreath element incorporating various representatives of flora and fauna.
