    In the center is depicted the state symbol of the Federal Republic of Germany: a heraldic eagle facing left, with wings spread and plumage lowered. Along the circumference, near the rim with raised dot elements, the country name in German "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND". Below, framed by dots, is the Karlsruhe mint mark - "G".
