Along the upper edge of the coin, the series name in English 'WARRIORS OF THE WORLD'; at the bottom, the inscription 'GLADIATOR'. The central part of the reverse features a relief image of a gladiator in full military gear, with a weapon and shield.
Obverse
Along the rim are inscriptions in French: at the top, the country name 'REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO'; at the bottom, '10 Francs'. The central part depicts the coat of arms of the DRC: a leopard's head, with an elephant tusk to its left and a spear to its right. Below the head, on a motto ribbon, is the inscription 'Justice, Paix, Travail', which translates from French as 'Justice, Peace, Work'. The coat of arms separates the mint year '20 10'.
