    In the central part, a gold dust weight (Takua-Ashanti) figure. In the upper and right parts of the coin from it, the mintmarks of the Paris Mint: a wing and a cornucopia. To the left and right of it, the digits 2 and 5 respectively, indicating the number: 25. Below it, an inscription in French: FRANCS. Around the edge, an inscription in French: «BANQUE CENTRALE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQVE DE L'OUEST» - Central Bank of the West African States, separated by a dot.

    In the central part, within a wreath of corn, a gazelle head. Below it, the year of issue: 1985. To the left of it, the letters «G.B.L. BAZOR» - the privy mark of the Chief Engraver of the Paris Mint, Lucien Georges Bazor. Around the edge, a raised ornamental border featuring clusters of grapes and peanut pods.
