    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a horse's head. To its left and right are the year 1992 according to the Gregorian calendar and the corresponding year 1413 according to the Islamic calendar. Along the upper edge of the coin, from left to right, is a decorative element executed in traditional Algerian national style.

    In the central part, within a smaller circle, is the number 1/2. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, is text in Arabic: 'Bank of Algeria'. In the lower part, along the edge of the coin, is an inscription in Arabic: 'dinar'. The inscriptions are separated by two five-pointed stars.
