    The central part features an ornamented cartouche under the imperial crown. The intertwined initials AM (Alexander and Maria) are within the cartouche. Below the cartouche are the letters N and G, the initials of mintmaster Nikolai Grachev. To the left of the cartouche is Psyche holding a stem of flowering lily in her right hand; to the right is Cupid with a bow in his left hand. To the left of Psyche, near the edge, is the designation of the Saint Petersburg Mint: S.P.B. Below the central image is a two-line inscription: 16 APRIL 1841 G. The coin's edge is decorated with a twisted dotted border.
  • Obverse
    The central part features left-facing portraits of Maria Alexandrovna and Alexander Nikolaevich. Below them is the signature of the medallist A. I. Gube: the inscription 'REZALIE GUBE'. Around the central image is a circular inscription, divided at the bottom and top by floral rosettes: 'V.K. MARIA ALEXANDROVNA V.K. ALEXANDER NIKOLAEVICH'. The coin's rim consists of denticles.
