In the central part, within a smaller circle, six hands holding each other in pairs, the sleeves of their costumes decorated with national ornament. Above them, a branch with three oak leaves. Along the edge of the coin, an inscription in Lithuanian: «BALTIJOS KELIUI-10. ESTIJA. LATVIJA. LIETUVA», translated as: «Baltic Way – 10 years. Estonia. Latvia. Lithuania». The inscriptions are separated by four four-pointed stars.

In the central part, within a smaller circle, the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania against a background of horizontally hatched field and eight vertical stripes in the center. In the upper part, along the arc of the coin's edge, the country name «LIETUVA» in Lithuanian. In the lower part, along the arc of the coin's edge, an inscription in Lithuanian: «1 LITAS» - 1 Litas. To the left and right along the rim, numbers: «19» and «99» - the year of mintage 1999.
