    In the central part, within the inner field, is the coat of arms of the Finland Proper region. It features a crowned heraldic shield depicting: a lowered visor of plate armor, a crown above it, and flags on both sides. To the left of the shield is the numeral 5, to the right is the Latin letter 'T' - the mark of artist Nora Tapper, and a heraldic lion in a circle - the mintmark of the Finnish Mint. Along the upper edge arc is the year of issue '2014'. Below is the inscription in Finnish 'EURO' (Euro).

    In the center, on a grassy background, a fox is depicted facing left, looking straight ahead. In the background is Turku Castle. In the upper part, along the edge arc of the coin, the country name 'Finland' is repeated twice: first in Finnish 'SUOMI', followed by Swedish 'FINLAND'. At the bottom near the rim is the artist's mark of Erkki Vainio – the Latin letter 'e'.
