The inscriptions are separated by relief elements. In the central part of the reverse, a relief image of a goldweight separates the inscription '5 F.', denoting 'five francs'. A goldweight is a figurine in the shape of a human, animal, or bird, used by the Ashanti people for weighing gold dust.
