In the central part, two football players are depicted struggling for possession of the ball. The edge of the coin features decorative dot elements, along which the English text reads 'XV WORLD CUP 1994 – UNITED STATES OF AMERICA'.
Obverse
At the top, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the country name in English 'ZAMBIA'. Below is a two-line inscription '2000 KWACHA'. The central part features the national coat of arms: a shield with six wavy vertical stripes, above it crossed a hoe and a pickaxe, and above that, an eagle looking back. The shield is held by a man and a woman on a grassy field. At the base of the arms is the motto 'One Zambia One Nation'. The rim is decorated with dot elements. All inscriptions are in English.
