Obverse In the center, a heraldic shield depicting a double-headed eagle with spread wings, heads crowned, in its right talon a sword and scepter, in its left an orb, on its chest the familial heraldic shield of Habsburg-Lorraine. Above the shield, the Crown of Saint Stephen. Along the upper arc of the coin's edge, text in German 'K∙K∙OESTERREICHISCHE SCHEIDEMÜNZE∙' (Imperial Royal Austrian Subsidiary Coin). Denticles along the edge of the coin.
