    In the central part, within a circle, there is a hole framed by four crossed tusks. Above it, the numeral: 5. Along the upper rim arc, the country name in English: 'EAST AFRICA'. Along the lower rim arc, the year of issue: 1922, flanked by diamonds. The coin's edge is decorated with decorative denticles.
  • Obverse
    In the central part, a hole framed by arched plant-like ornaments. Above it, the Crown of the British Empire. Below it, text in English in two lines: 'FIVE CENT'. In the left part, along the rim arc, the inscription in Latin: 'GEORGIVS V', on the right - 'REX ET IND: IMP:' (King and Emperor of India). Along the rim, a toothed relief pattern.
