Reverse
The upper part of the coin features the Imperial Crown. Below it, a four-line inscription reads: CHISTAGO SEREBRA 2 ZOLOTN= 10 1/2 DOLY (Pure Silver 2 Zolotniks 10 1/2 Dolias). Beneath this is a straight line and the mintmark "S.P.B." (Saint Petersburg Mint). Along the rim, a laurel branch is on the left and an oak branch on the right. The branches are tied together at the bottom with a ribbon. The edge of the coin is decorated with raised denticles.
Obverse
The central part depicts the State Emblem of the Russian Empire – a double-headed eagle with wings spread and lowered. On the eagle's chest is the coat of arms of Moscow – a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The heraldic shield, above the eagle's heads, is crowned by the Imperial Crown. The eagle holds thunderbolts and a torch in its right talon and a laurel wreath in its left, all entwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Below the ribbon are the letters: "H" on the left and "Г" on the right. These are the initials of Mintmaster Nikolai Grachev. Above the eagle is the denomination – the circular inscription "MONETA POLTINA." separated by a six-pointed star. Below the eagle is the year of minting "1829 GODA." (1829 YEAR.). The rim is decorated with short denticles.
