    In the central part, a Triskelion – the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man, depicting three legs to the right, bent at the knee, emerging from a single center, equidistant from each other. The symbol divides the field into three segments: in the upper ones, the Latin initials of the 10th Earl of Derby 'I D' (Iacobus Darbiensis – James Derby), in the lower one – the number '1/2'. Along the edge arc, the national motto in Latin 'QUOCUNQUE IECERIS STABIT' (Whichever way you throw it, it will stand). Dots between the words. Raised denticles along the coin's edge.
  • Obverse
    In the center, a fragment of the family coat of arms of the Earls of Derby – the crest. It consists of an ermine cap, above which an eagle to the left with spread wings, hunting an infant swaddled in cloth. Along the denticulated rim are inscriptions: at the top in French 'SANS CHANGER' (Without change), at the bottom the minting year '1733'.
