    In the central part, a trumpeter is depicted facing right, with Her Majesty's subjects and the west facade of Westminster Abbey in the background; to the right of it are the Latin letters 'PM'. On either side of the trumpeter, the Latin inscription 'VIVAT REGINA' (Long Live the Queen) is split into two parts. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, is the English text '1 CROWN'.
  • Obverse
    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley - 'IRB'. Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of issue '2012'. At the beginning of each inscription is the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man – a triskelion. Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
