In the central part, the numeral 2 and a two-line inscription: 'EURO CENT' - 2 Euro Cent. To the left and below, an image of the Earth globe, with Europe highlighted on it, from which six slanted rays extend upwards and downwards. At the ends of these rays, twelve five-pointed stars are placed along the rim. To the right of the Earth, the monogram 'LL' - the signature of engraver Luc Luycx.
Obverse
In the central part, the right-facing profile of Grand Duke Henri. On the truncation of the Duke's shoulder is the signature of engraver Yvette Gastauer-Claire. To the right, top, and left along the rim are twelve five-pointed stars. In the lower part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the name of the state Luxembourg in Luxembourgish: 'LËTZEBUERG' and the mint year 2007, flanked left and right by the mint master's mark and mint mark.
