    In the central part - a large numeral 5: "٥" and the inscription: "عشر القرش", which translates from Ottoman Turkish as: "5/10 QIRSH". Below it - the year of Sultan Abdul Hamid II's accession to the throne according to the Islamic calendar: "١٢٩٣" - 1293 AH or 1876 AD. Along the upper edge of the coin, an inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "ضرب في مصر" - "STRUCK IN EGYPT".
  • Obverse
    In the central part - a tughra, to the right of it is a depiction of a rose. Below - an inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "٢٠ سنة", which translates as: "20TH YEAR". Along the edges of the rim is a decorative raised pattern of leaves and flowers.
