    In the central part, within a border of 24 loops, the inscription '1/4'. Below, along the border, the digit '4' divides the mint year '1812' into two parts: '18' on the right, '12' on the left. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.

    At the center is the right-facing profile of Franz II, Emperor of the Austrian Empire, King of Hungary and Bohemia, wearing a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon. An inscription in German runs along the upper edge of the coin: starting left, top, and right 'FRANZ KAI∙V∙OES∙KO∙Z∙HU∙BÖ∙GAL∙U∙LO∙' (Franz Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, Bohemia, Galicia, Lodomeria). Below is the Latin letter 'A', separated from above by an arabesque. The rim is bordered by denticles.
