    In the lower left part, a girl facing right and a man aiming, both holding rifles, are depicted; an ammunition box is in front of them. To the right, a car facing left is used as cover by soldiers of the warring army. Above, the French military award is shown, offset from the center to the right; to the left, the award's name in French, 'THE CROIX DE GUERRE' (War Cross), is written horizontally. Above the inscription is an airplane facing right.
  • Obverse
    Centered is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley - 'IRB'. Around the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: on the left, the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II'; on the right, the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of issue '2004'. At the beginning of each inscription is the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man – a triskelion. Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
