    The central part features the planets of the Solar System on their orbits. In the background is the telescope of the European Southern Observatory. Along the edge of the coin are cosmic objects with their names in German: on the left – 'MULTIVERSUM' (Multiverse), at the top – 'UNIVERSUM' (Universe), on the right – 'GALAXIE' (Galaxy), at the bottom – the inscription 'SONNENSYSTEM' (Solar System).

    In the center, within a circle, is depicted the planet Saturn with one of its moons and a space probe against a background of stars. Below the probe is the semi-circular inscription 'KOSMOLOGIE' (Cosmology). Along the rim at the bottom, against a background of a coordinate grid, is the year of issue '2015'; on the left – physical formulas and graphs; at the top – the country name 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' (Republic of Austria); on the right – the inscription '25 EURO'. All inscriptions are in German.
