In the central part, a left-facing portrait of Pope John XXIII. To the left, along the rim, his name in Latin: 'JOAN XXIII'. Along the arc of the right edge, the years of his papacy 1958-1963.
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of smaller diameter, the coat of arms of Andorra is depicted. Below it, the numeral '50' and the inscription 'ct.', meaning 50 centims. To the left, top, and right along the rim, an inscription in Catalan: 'PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA', which translates as 'Principality of Andorra'. In the lower part, along the arc of the coin's edge, the year of mintage 2007.
