    In the central part, within a wreath of leaves and ears of grain, the inscription in two lines: "5 CENTAVOS". The word "CENTAVOS" is arranged in a semicircle, curving around the lower part of the numeral 5. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of denticles.

    In the central part, a left-facing profile of the goddess Liberty, wearing a headband inscribed in Spanish with "LIBERTAD" (Liberty). To the left, top, and right is the inscription in Spanish: "REPUBLIKA DE COLOMBIA" (Republic of Colombia). At the bottom, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the year of minting - 1886. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
