Starting on the left, the edge inscription reads: "GEORGIVS VI", continuing on the right: "REX ET IND: IMP:". Translated from Latin: "GEORGE VI" and "KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA". The British Imperial Crown is depicted at the top. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
