    In the central part, a crocodile turned left on a rock by the water. At the top, along the edge of the coin, the English text 'FIVE CENTS'. Below, the numeral 5.
  • Obverse
    In the central part is the coat of arms of Jamaica: a heraldic shield with a cross and five pineapples, above the shield a crocodile on a log, below it a helmet with mantling, at the base of the arms the motto 'Out of many, one people'. Along the rim the legend: at the top the name of the island nation - 'JAMAICA', at the bottom - 'ONE DOLLAR' and the year of minting '1986'. All inscriptions are in English. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
