In the center, the right-facing profile of the fourth King of the Kingdom of Tonga, Taufa'ahau Tupou IV. Around the rim are dots, along which inscriptions are placed: at the top in Tongan, the ruler's name 'TAUFA'AHAU TUPOU IV', at the bottom the year of minting '1968'.
