    In the central part, an Ashanti gold weight (Taku). To its left and right are the numerals 1 and 0 respectively, forming the number: 10. Below it, the French inscription: 'FRANCS'. In the upper part, following the curve of the coin's edge, the French text: 'BANQUE CENTRALE' - central bank, and to the left, bottom, and right: 'DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE DE L'OUEST' - of the West African States.

    In the central part, a composition: women and a child at a water pump, filling vessels and jugs against a background of trees. Below it, the year of minting: 2012, with the mintmarks of the Paris Mint to its left and right: a cornucopia and a pentagon - the privy mark of the engraver Yves Sampo.
