    In the central part, the numeral 5, flanked on the right and left by a cinquefoil. Along the lower edge, an inscription in Finnish: "PENNIÄ" (Pennia).
  • Obverse
    In the center, within a circle formed by laurel branches, three trumpets are depicted against a flag. Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions: at the top in Finnish "KANSAN TYÖ, KANSAN VALTA" (The People's Work, The People's Power), flanked on both sides by a dot; at the bottom the mint year "1918", to its left the country name "SUOMI" (Finland) in Finnish, to its right "FINLAND" in Swedish. The year is flanked on both sides by a cinquefoil.
