    In the central part is the coat of arms of Jersey - a shield featuring three lions. To its right is the number "19", to its left "57", together forming the year of issue: "1957". Along the upper edge of the coin is the inscription in English: "BAILWICK OF JERSEY". Along the lower edge: "ONE FOURTH OF A SHILLING". The rim is decorated with raised, decorative denticles.

    In the central part is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. To the left, above, and to the right along the rim is the text in English: "QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND". The rim is decorated with raised, decorative denticles.
