Along the arc of the right edge, intersecting these rays, are twelve five-pointed stars. On Europe, an inscription in English: 'EURO'. To the right below the inscription is the monogram 'LL' - the mark of the engraver Luc Luycx.

    In the central part, within a circle of yellow metal, is the left-facing profile of the Slovenian Protestant reformer and first printer Primož Trubar. To his left, an inscription in two lines arranged in a semicircle: his lifespan 1508-1586 and his name in Slovenian: 'PRIMOZ TRUBAR'. Below and to the right of the portrait, the name of the state Slovenia in Slovenian: 'SLOVENIJA' and the year of minting 2008. Along the edge of the coin are twelve five-pointed stars.
