Reverse
The central part features a maple leaf between tree trunks, with a maple leaf branch below. Along the edge are inscriptions in English: the year of issue '2014' at the top, flanked by a maple leaf – the Ottawa Mint mark; the country name 'CANADA' on the right; and 'DOLLAR' on the left. To the right of the leaf are the Latin letters 'CRR' – the artist's mark for Robert-Ralph Carmichael.
Obverse
The center features a right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. In the truncation of the portrait are the Latin letters 'SB' – the artist's mark for Susanna Blunt. To the right and left of the portrait, the Latin inscription is split: 'ELIZABETH II' on the right and 'D∙ G∙ REGINA' (Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen) on the left. A decorative circle of raised dots runs along the rim.
