    The central part features the coat of arms of the State of Colima: a heraldic shield framed by symbols of flora and fauna, depicting a hieroglyph in the form of a bent arm, above it a helmet; the shield rests on the Colima volcano, in front of which a palm tree is depicted. To the right of the coat of arms is the year of minting '2005'. Along the upper edge arc is the status - 'ESTADO DE COLIMA' (STATE OF COLIMA) in Spanish, below 100 pesos - '$100', to the left the mint mark 'oM' - Mexico City, Mexico. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
