    In the upper part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is a two-line inscription: «CINCUENTENARIO LEY No13.010 VOTO FEMENINO OBLIGATORIO» (from Spanish: Fiftieth Anniversary of Law No. 13.010. Law on Compulsory Women's Suffrage). The inscription is flanked by years: «1947» on the left and «1997» on the right. In the central part is a large numeral 1, with the Spanish word «Peso» to its right, an olive branch to its left, and the mint year «1997» below.

    Centered is the right-facing profile of María Eva Duarte de Perón, the second wife of Argentina's 29th and 41st President Juan Perón. Below the portrait's truncation is the designer's surname Mario Baiardi - «Baiardi» and the engraver's initials Jorge Nicastro - «JN». Along the rim are Spanish inscriptions: at the top, the country name «REPUBLICA ARGENTINA» (Argentine Republic), and at the bottom, the First Lady's name «MARIA EVA DUARTE de PERON». The inscriptions on both sides are flanked by a raised dot.
