    In the central part, the horizontal text in English '2 EURO'. The lettering is placed over a map of the European continent. Above and below the map are six lines with five-pointed stars. Under the letter 'O' are the crossed initials of the designer Luc Luycx, the Latin letters 'LL'.
  • Obverse
    On the inner disc: a depiction of the pediment pattern from Porvoo Cathedral. At the top of the disc's circumference is the year Finland gained autonomy, '1809'. To the right, horizontally, is the year of minting '2009'. To the left is the mintmark – a cornucopia, below it the Latin letters of the issuing state 'FI' (Finland). Around the edge of the coin, twelve five-pointed stars are evenly distributed.
