    In the upper part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the English text: 'CIPRVS', which translates to 'Cyprus'. In the central part, within a smaller circle formed of dots, is the number 1/2. To the left, bottom, and right along the rim is the English inscription: 'HALF PIASTRE 1922' - half piastre and the mint year 1922. The inscriptions are separated by two dots. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of dots.

    In the central part is a left-facing profile portrait of King George V. On the truncation of the shoulder is the monogram 'B.M.' - the engraver's mark of Bertram MacKennal. To the left, top, and right along the rim is the English text: 'GEORGIVS V REX IMPERATOR', which translates to 'George V King and Emperor'. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of dots.
