Reverse
The central part of the reverse features a relief depiction of a goal-scoring moment: a goalkeeper diving to catch a ball flying into the net. In the background, a jubilant player from the opposing team is running. To the right of the footballer is the metal alloy fineness mark "999". Along the upper edge of the coin is an inscription in Spanish: "CAMPEONATÓ MUNDIAL DE FUTBOL USA 1994" (World Cup USA 1994). The coin's edge is reeded.
Obverse
The coat of arms of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea is positioned in the center. It features a heraldic shield depicting a silk-cotton tree (bombax). Above the shield, six six-pointed stars are arranged in an arc. At the base is the motto in Spanish: "UNIDAD PAZ Y JUSTICIA" (Unity, Peace, and Justice). The coat of arms divides the mint year "1994" into two parts: "19" on the left and "94" on the right. The coin's edge is reeded, with inscriptions in Spanish along it: on the left, top, and right, the country name "REPUBLICA DE GUINEA ECUATORIAL" (Republic of Equatorial Guinea); at the bottom, the inscription "1000 FRANCOS" (1000 Francs).
