Obverse A Lebanese cedar at the top, a cornucopia to its left (Paris Mint mark), and a dolphin to its right (mark of the Mint Director, Emile Rousseau). Inscription 'Bank of Lebanon' in Arabic 'مصرف لبنان' and French 'BANQUE DU LIBAN' below, with the year '1972-١٩٧٢' between them. Decorative raised dots along the rim.
