    In the central part, a ship is depicted sailing left, with a map in the background. The image is surrounded by a circle in the form of a marine rope, ending at the bottom with a marine anchor. Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: at the top - 'ISLE OF MAN GLOBAL CHALLENGE', at the bottom in two lines - '1 CROWN', to the left of it the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man – the Triskelion.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - 'RDM', below the truncation the Latin letters 'PM'. Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of minting '2000'. Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
