    In the central part, surrounded by an oak wreath tied with ribbons, is a three-line inscription in Spanish: 'MEDIA DECIMO 1863' - half decimo and the mintage year 1863. On either side of the wreath are symbols of the god of trade, Mercury. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, is the text in Spanish: 'BOGOTA' - the Bogota mint. Along the lower edge is an inscription indicating the silver fineness: 'LEI 0,900'. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of dentils.
  • Obverse
    To the left, top, and right along the rim is an inscription in Spanish: 'ESTADOS UNIDOS DE COLOMBIA', which translates to 'United States of Colombia'. In the central part is a stylized depiction of an opened pomegranate fruit on a branch. On either side of it, crossing at the top, are cornucopias. In the lower part, along the edge of the coin, are nine five-pointed stars. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of dentils.
