    In the central part is a double-headed eagle with outstretched wings; the eagle's heads are in a halo, above them a crown; on its chest is a heraldic shield crowned with a crown and framed by a chain; in the eagle's right talon are a sword and scepter, in the left an orb. Below the shield is the empire's highest award. The shield depicts a double-headed eagle. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in Latin: to the right and left 'GERM∙HVN∙BOH∙REX∙A∙A∙D∙LOTH∙VEN∙SAL∙1806∙' (King of Germany, Hungary, Bohemia, Archduke of Austria, Duke of Lorraine, Venice, Salzburg 1806). The edge is decorated with decorative dentils.

Along the edge of the coin runs text in Latin: left, top, and right 'FRANCISCVS II∙D∙G∙ROM∙ET∙HAER∙AVST∙IMP∙' (Francis II, by the Grace of God, Roman Emperor and Hereditary Emperor of Austria.). Below is the Latin letter 'A' - the mint mark of Vienna. The coin's edge features decorative raised dentils.
