    In the central part, the text '2 EURO' is placed horizontally. The lettering is set against a background map of the European continent. Above and below the map are six lines with five-pointed stars. Below the letter 'O' are the crossed initials of the designer Luc Luycx, the Latin letters 'LL'.
  • Obverse
    On the inner disc, against a background of the pattern decorating the Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome, an open book is depicted. The right page shows stylized facsimiles of the signatures of the treaty's signatories. Above the book is the inscription in Finnish 'EUROOPPA' (Europe). Around the disc's circumference are inscriptions: at the top in Finnish 'ROOMAN SOPIMUS 50 v' (Treaty of Rome 50 years), at the bottom the country name in Finnish and English 'SUOMI FINLAND' (Finland), above it the year of minting '2007'. Twelve five-pointed stars are evenly distributed around the coin's edge.
