Reverse
The center is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread, both heads wearing crowns, with a larger third crown above and between the heads. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Around the eagle is the text: МАНЕТА ДОБРАѦ ЦЕНА РУБЛЬ ҂АѰЕ (1705). The edge of the coin features a dotted border.
Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the left-facing profile of Peter I. Around the edge, encircling the Emperor's profile, is the circular inscription: ЦРЬ • ПЕТРЬ • АЛЕѯIЕВИЧЪ • ВСЕѦ • РОСИI • САМОДЕРЖЕЦЬ • The rim resembles a braided rope. The rim is executed as a twisted cable (denticles at an angle to the ground).
