Obverse Along the upper arc of the coin's edge, from left to right, is the Spanish text: 'BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ' - 'CENTRAL RESERVE BANK OF PERU', below it - the year of minting: '1968'. In the central part is depicted the main coat of arms of Peru: a shield surrounded by a wreath of a palm branch on the left and a laurel branch on the right, tied with a ribbon.
